Commercial Chef Manager (Ref: 1F052) – Salary: £35,000 - £38,000 pa
Broxbourne Council is looking to appoint a Commercial Chef Manager to drive its food and beverage business forward, adding a commercial edge to three well established bar and catering operations.
If you are passionate about food, drink and great service, and have the skills and enthusiasm to develop and grow the business, this position is for you. The suitable candidate will be based at the Spotlight in Hoddesdon overseeing the food and beverage function, including the central production unit, and will also be responsible for the bar and catering businesses at The John Warner Sports Centre and Cheshunt Park Golf Course.
As Commercial Chef Manager, you will report to the Head of Leisure and Culture and will liaise with the senior team to create and launch new menus, identify new business opportunities as well as develop and train the food and beverage team to maximise their potential.
The ideal candidate will be a passionate foodie who is a competent chef and enjoys being creative and can balance costs with quality. You will have a sound understanding of consumer trends and have experience in a similar environment. Excellent communication and presentation skills are required, together with a passion for delivering results and the drive to exceed expectations. You will have excellent people skills and will be able to motivate and empower the team to be the best they can be.
