Job Description

  • We are currently recruiting for a number of Production Supervisors across a variety of departments within Caledonian Produce.

Our current shift patterns are any 5 days over 7 from 6am-2pm or 2pm-10pm.

In support of the Shift Manager, Supervise production staff to ensure that KPI’s and productions plans are met within agreed timescales.

Main Duties
Health & Safety - To encourage a safe working environment for all employees in their area by supporting and enforcing standards as set out in the Group Health and Safety policy.

Quality Standards -Ensure team are performing to quality standards in terms of GMP, food safety, product quality and presentation and housekeeping.

Training & Development - Ensure that operatives are coached and trained in all aspects of their role, including health and safety and food safety standards and quality procedures. Inform Shift Manager of further training needs.

NPD - Participate in NPD processes and production trials where required to ensure that they run successfully.

Administration - Carry out necessary administrative tasks and produce data / reports as required.

Staff Supervision – Allocate staff to tasks. Motivate staff, first port of call for staff to receive support or informal discussions regarding performance. If formal action is required report to Shift Manager.

Qualification Requirements Advanced English Literacy and Advanced Numeracy Skills (ESOL Advanced Level 1)
Knowledge Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment is essential.

Previous supervisory experience is essential and from a manufacturing industry would be desirable.
Skills The successful candidate must have:
