Due to current expansion and growth, Bakkavor Desserts has some fantastic opportunities for Team Leaders at our manufacturing site in Highbridge, Somerset.
As an experienced Team Leader you will ensure your teams follow the production plan with maximum efficiency and ensure that all quality, hygiene and Health & Safety standards are maintained.

As this is a management role, you will be required to oversee a team and at times deputise for the Section Leader in your area.

Ideally you will have food manufacturing experience, have managed people and have knowledge of Health & Safety standards required in a manufacturing environment.

The role requirements include:
Working towards a factory plan
Ensuring factory standards are maintained
Effectively communicating to your team and colleagues

Shift Pattern - 4on4off 6am-6pm

Qualification Requirements Basic English Literacy and Basic Numeracy Skills (ESOL Entry Level 3)

Knowledge Previous FMC/ factory experience desirable but not essential

Skills Be enthusiastic and conscientious, and understand or be willing to learn the principles and application of Food Safety, Have a proactive approach to Good Manufacturing Practices, Be happy working a Continental shift pattern (up to 12 hours), Be comfortable wearing personal protective equipment and working in a factory environment, Ensure Quality and hygiene standards are adhered to.

Have a sound understanding of how and when to escalate to line manager.

Additional Requirements Temperatures within the factory can be both warm and cold.
