Burton Latimer, England, United Kingdom · Manufacturing
Overview
Weetabix is officially the UK’s favourite breakfast cereal, Alpen the number one muesli and our new Weetabix On The Go drinks are category defining. The success of our brands and our business is firmly founded on the people we’re lucky enough to have working here. We’re looking for an experienced Continuous Improvement Manager who really believes in going beyond the data to focus on people and specifically change through people.
It’s a really exciting time to be involved in the manufacturing side of the organisation especially as we’ve just announced £30 million worth of investment into the business. The creation of new production capacity by 2018 will significantly raise volumes to match rising sales of our brands both at home and overseas. The investment will see new jobs created and great opportunities for improvement across the business.
This is not a role for a CI Manager who doesn’t want to spend the majority of their time in factory on the shop floor, speaking with, engaging and most importantly helping our people. You’ll be responsible for driving improvement through people and really want to help develop a culture of improvement within the teams. There’s lots to do, lots to improve and lots of opportunity for someone who is really excited about change and driving change through people.

You’ll be focussed on driving continuous improvement through the people. You’ll, of course, be responsible ultimately for a number of projects, at present focussed on waste and data capture capability. You’ll also be supporting our down day projects and developing training to bring to life in the Weetabix style the systems we have already.
Looking out to what you can expect when you start here, your first 3 months will be focussed on your induction. You’ll be out meeting all the key stakeholders, spending plenty of time working within the factory so you’re able to really understand the challenges we face here at Weetabix on a day to day and week by week basis. You’ll also start to build out your network within the business and understand the needs of your key customers.
6 months in you’ll have delivered some of th
