Job Description
To design and deliver a sustainable pro-active Occupational Health & Wellbeing service which prevents illness and promotes the health and wellbeing of colleagues whilst in our employment. Support the Avoiding Harm and wider business strategies.
- To ensure full compliance with statutory responsibilities for health surveillance and occupational health provision
- To arrange, promote and coordinate a programme of health promotion campaigns
- To identify and investigate the cause of major work-related health issues and identify control measures to promote health
- To carry out capability assessments to ensure fitness for work within the scope of relevant legislation and framework for best practice
- To provide employee and management support in relation to short and long term ill health and absence
- To support those at work with health problems and assist management to put in place appropriate measures to reduce the impact of work on their health condition
- To assist the sites ensure adequate and appropriate first aid provision is available at all times
- Suggest and assist implementation of rehabilitation programs to facilitate appropriate RTW following illness or injury
- Contribute to Avoiding Harm initiatives including participation in behavioural and safety audits and culture change processes
- To build relationships within the company and with external contacts, as a means of sharing good practice
