Job Description
Overview
We are working with one of the TOP 10% food manufacturing companies in the North West. They make top quality branded and unbranded products for a Worldwide customer base. They are looking for an experienced engineer to join their maintenance team. This is an Electrically biased role providing break down and continuous improvement maintenance support.
Purpose of Role
To provide a site wide support function to production and engineering, utilising analytical tools to improve plant reliability in helping to achieve plant objectives and maximise efficiency and minimise total cost.
The core function of this role will be to ensure all equipment is maintained to required standards so as to increase machine uptime. Where breakdowns occur they must be dealt with promptly and efficiently & within timescales allowed. Works closely with line crews to ensure machines perform at optimum speed and produce product to a commercially acceptable quality standard.
PPM schedules need to be adhered to in accordance with specifications, safety and quality standards. There is a strong emphasis on improving equipment reliability & performance, along with engineering solutions to simplify & improve equipment changeovers. Being innovative & creative are requirements of the role along with good technical skills & proven problem solving skills & techniques. To be technically competent with all line equipment associated with the manufacture of our products.
A thoughtful, logical & structured approach is required.
The salary on offer for working on a Monday to Friday 6/2 2/10 shift pattern is between £30,000 and £32,000.
