About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Manager to join the engineering division of our successful Solway Foods in Worksop, Nottinghamshire. This opportunity will offer you the chance to build upon your current leadership knowledge within a fast paced state of the art food production facility. It will allow you to play an integral part in the continued develop of the site – ensuring engineering activities and targets are continuously met.

As Maintenance Manager you will relish been a hands on team player with strong leadership skills. You will be customer focused and understand the customers’ needs better than anybody else. You will strive to improve quality and service for internal and external stakeholders. You will demonstrate high levels of resilience and analytical skills – with a never give up approach. Your day to day duties will include (but not limited to); the control and management of maintenance engineering activities on site. You will actively manage and deliver engineering functions in line with best practice procedures, implement and deliver continuous improvement strategies across the business and coach and mentor direct reports to improve quality and service.

  • Proven and experienced manager of engineering teams
  • Experience of working within chilled foods – dairy, salads, sandwiches etc.
  • Managing within budget constraints
  • Experienced in driving change management
  • You will be a “go getter” and results driven
  • A time served engineer
  • Mechanical and Electrical Engineering competent
  • SAP planned maintenance power user level
  • Personable - outgoing and able to build trusting relationships with site colleagues and stakeholders
