Job Description

This important role involves working as part of our onsite vehicle maintenance team to maintain and repair of our fleet of vehicles, trailers and fork lift trucks.

Our fleet ranges from FLTs, to 7.5 tonne vehicles up to 44 tonne articulated units and trailers and you will work to ensure that all vehicles are roadworthy and pass all relevant criteria before they leave site
Duties include service and repair of vehicles, ensuring vehicles are maintained to legal requirements and ensuring compliance with statutory standards (health & safety, quality and hygiene).

The ability to work on your own initiative is essential, together with the willingness to work as part of a well-motivated team within a busy vehicle workshop.
You are a qualified LGV mechanic (City & Guilds or equivalent) and preferably a clean LGV Class 1 driving licence.

Used to working within Department of Transport regulations and road transport legislation relating to the maintenance of commercial vehicles. Ideally you will have experience in a similar work environment.
