Job Description
Due to rapid expansion at Bakkavor Desserts, Highbridge, we are now seeking an Engineering Administrator to provide support to the engineering team with engineering stock control, general & unskilled engineering tasks and management of the permit to work process.
Qualification Requirements Must Have:
Flexible approach & willingness to learn
Good communication skills (inc. good standard of written & spoken English)
Computer Literate (Microsoft Office) & confidence to learn bespoke systems
Organised with attention to detail
Interest in engineering & Health and safety
Skills Role Accountabilities:
1 Control & monitor engineering stock levels to prevent stock out of critical items.
2 Liaise with suppliers for purchase ordering, price checking & orders progress chasing
3 Keep accurate records of stock movement & generate weekly / monthly reports for the engineering manager.
4 Liaise with suppliers to negotiate terms to ensure most economic & efficient supply. Review supplier’s performance regularly & make recommendations for improvements.
5 Manage the issuing of work permits to contractors ensuring compliance with all health & safety requirements. Train other people in the department to ensure adequate cover
6 Assist the engineering team with unskilled work on site
7 Keep all engineering storage areas clean & tidy.
8 Comply with safety, health & environment requirements.
9 Support the Engineering Manager with project work as required
10 Provide cover as and when required for Engineering Coordinator & Site Services Engineer
Additional Requirements
Shift pattern:
Days, Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm.
Holiday:
25 days holiday not including bank holidays.
