About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Engineering Team Leader to join the production facility at our successful Solway Foods in Worksop, Nottinghamshire. This opportunity will offer you the chance to build upon your current knowledge within a fast paced state of the art food production facility. It will allow you to play an integral part in the continued develop of the site – ensuring engineering activities and targets are continuously met.

As the Engineering Team Leader you will relish been a hands on team player with strong leadership skills. You will strive to improve quality and service for internal and external stakeholders. You will demonstrate high levels of resilience – with a never give up approach.

Working on a rolling 4 nights on/4 nights off basis your night to night duties will include (but not limited to); Leading and coordinating a team of 5 consisting of Electrical, Mechanical and Asset Care Technicians who react to site breakdowns – ensuring production disruptions are kept to an absolute minimum. You will be responsible for: reactive/breakdown maintenance, monitoring downtime. Communicating with Operations Managers regarding volumes of work and pinch point breakdowns. This will be a hands on role that will see you using all your skills and experience ensuring the smooth and effective running of the night shift production runs.

You will be…

  • Time served engineer - ideally electrically biased
  • Experienced manager/supervisor
  • Ideally 17th edition qualified
  • Food production experience preferred
  • Must be analytical
  • Strong communicator and delegator
  • IOSH & SAP beneficial
  • Previously worked in
